Supplies:
4 square tiles (mine are 3.75" x 3.75")
4 pieces of scrapbook paper
Cork
Mod Podge
Sponge brush
Glue
Clear acrylic sealer
1. Measure your tile.
2. Trim scrapbook paper to 1/4" less than tile. My tiles are 3.57", so I cut my paper to 3.50" square.
3. Coat tile with Mod Podge and center paper onto tile. Let dry.
You can still see the old logo.
4. Apply another coat of mod podge. Repeat 3 more times. Allow to dry 15 minutes between each application.
5. While drying cut cork into 4 circles or squares. Put aside for later use.
6. After tile is dry, take tiles outside and spray with sealer.
7. Once dry, glue cork to the bottom corners.
7. Once dry, glue cork to the bottom corners.
8. Wrap 4 of the coasters with ribbon or raffia and you have a beautiful handmade gift.
Did you remember to make a few extra? If you did now you have an extra gift on hand.
Or- you have a set of costers for you to enjoy!
